The challenges during my practicum was the language barrier as a teacher, that is the only weapon that the students will retain and understand your discussion. It's one of the key to fasten in transmitting new knowledge to the students, but I guess due to the different language, it was hard to deal with. I cannot understand what my students talked about, I knew to myself they asked me something, but since i can understand a little of bahasa language, I kept telling them "sediki- bahasa" and they just tried to translate it in English with the use of bahasa - ingris dictionary. I'll do many ways to let my students understand me in English, I tried my very best to surpass my predicament, even though there wasn't internet connection at the house where I stayed, but i try to download Indonesian application translator to help me understand better bahasa, so that i can understand the lesson and my students will have no problems understanding me during my discussion, I translate all the words that i might use in my class and do before ahead the lesson and Instructional Materials] to practice at home and do the job with a smooth flow, I used printed pictures, video clips, books & other stuff using technology to catch their attention & to teach effectively.
